Finally, I'm able to start on my weekend project. I had to remove the carpet grass from my garden since it's overgrown with weeds. Words of advice, if you don't have the time or you're maintaining the garden on your own, don't go for carpet grass. It's a heaven for broader leaves weeds and you have to mow it frequently to get the nice and neat look.
Well, on a fine sunny morning, I received my delivery of pearl grass from the nursery. It's good that they delivered the grass patches early. I'm able to start work on my weekend project in the cool morning and absorb some vitamin D

Here's how it looks like after hours of sweat. Though, the garden looks small, but it's no easy task planting the grass.
At the corner, I setup a rock décor. Moving the rocks is no easy task. I've to roll the bigger rocks and made numerous trips to and from for the smaller rocks. Since I'm not an avid gardener, I don't own a wheelbarrow. Everything is done with my bare hands.
Below are a few more photos of my completed garden with the newly planted pearl grass. Next on my project is to plant some plants along the fence. Something that is low in maintenance. A very satisfying day, though I'm slightly sunburned and my thigh muscles are killing me from squatting down too long. OOOooo ... and it still hurts today.
